My name is Jewel, and I am a twenty-something with a large collection of My Little Ponies.
In my everyday life, I am a recent college graduate with a bachelor's degree in Film. But you're not here to read about that kind of stuff, are you?
I have been collecting ponies for as long as I can remember, since the first Cotton Candy which was given to me before I could even talk. After a brief hiatus and a collecting renaissance through the G2 line, I joined the My Little Pony online communities when I was a teenager. I have now been active in the community in general for more than a decade. During that time, my collection has grown from a humble 45 to nearly 2000 individual ponies from all over the world, some of them truly one-of-a-kind!
Presently, I help administrate the My Little Pony Trading Post, the community which hosts many of my long time pony friends, and likewise, much of my heart.
I am also the hostess of the annual Maryland Pony Meets, which began in 2002. The meets seem to grow with every consecutive year!
Collecting ponies has opened up a crazy, quirky, incredible world to me, both in my own experiences and the strong, lasting friendships I have made with fellow collectors. It's a unique little corner of the collecting hobby, and I very much enjoy all the fun and memories it has brought me.
